What Is Pratyantar Dasha Calculator?
An Antardasha can still cover two or three years, which is too long to pin down when a specific event is likely. The Pratyantar Dasha, the third tier of the Vimshottari system, divides each Antardasha into nine smaller periods that usually last from a few weeks to a few months.
A Pratyantar Dasha Calculator is used mainly for precise timing questions: when a job offer is likely to arrive, which month a property deal is likely to close, or when a health matter may come to a head. Because the arithmetic has three levels, calculating by hand is slow and easy to get wrong.
Pratyantar Dasha Calculator Formula
Pratyantar Length (days) = (MD Years × AD Years × PD Years) ÷ 40 The Pratyantar formula multiplies the Vimshottari years of the Mahadasha, Antardasha and Pratyantar lords, then divides by 40 to give the result in days. The divisor of 40 is simply 120 × 120 ÷ 360, which combines the two cycle divisions with the traditional 360-day astrological year.

How the Pratyantar Dasha Calculator Works
The calculator applies the Vimshottari ratio a third time. Each Antardasha is split among the nine planets, starting with the Antardasha lord, and each piece is sized by that planet's share of the 120-year cycle. The result is converted into days.

Worked Example
In Jupiter Mahadasha, Saturn Antardasha, the Mercury Pratyantar lasts 16 × 19 × 17 ÷ 40 = 129.2 days, or about 4 months and 9 days. The Sun Pratyantar in the same Antardasha lasts only 16 × 19 × 6 ÷ 40 = 45.6 days.
