What Is Sookshma Dasha Calculator?
Sookshma means "subtle", and the Sookshma Dasha is the fourth level of the Vimshottari hierarchy. It divides each Pratyantar Dasha into nine even smaller periods, most lasting between a few hours and a couple of weeks.

Sookshma Dasha Calculator Formula
Sookshma Length (days) = (MD × AD × PD × SD Years) ÷ 4,800 The Sookshma formula extends the same proportional logic one step further. Multiply the Vimshottari years of all four lords together and divide by 4,800, which is 120³ ÷ 360, to get the length in days. Each extra level simply adds one more ratio of the 120-year cycle.

The calculator applies the Vimshottari proportion four times. Each Sookshma period equals the product of four planetary years (MD, AD, PD and SD) divided by 120³, then converted to days using a 360-day year.

Worked Example
Jupiter MD, Saturn AD, Mercury PD, Ketu SD: 16 × 19 × 17 × 7 ÷ 4,800 = 7.54 days. At the extremes, Venus × 4 lasts 20⁴ ÷ 4,800 = 33.3 days, while Sun × 4 lasts only 6⁴ ÷ 4,800 = 0.27 days, about 6.5 hours.
