What Is Graha Dasha Calculator?
Graha means planet, and a Graha Dasha is any timing system that gives life periods to planets. Vimshottari is the best known, but classical texts describe others, most notably Ashtottari, a 108-year cycle of eight planets (without Ketu) that some traditions prefer for particular charts.

Planet's Share of Life = Planet's Dasha Years ÷ Total Cycle Years The Graha Dasha formula expresses each planet's period as a fraction of its system's full cycle: 120 years for Vimshottari and 108 for Ashtottari. The same fraction is reused at every sub-level, which is why a planet with a long Mahadasha also gets long Antardashas within every other planet's period.

Worked Example
Venus holds 20 ÷ 120 = 16.7% of Vimshottari but 21 ÷ 108 = 19.4% of Ashtottari. The Moon rises from 8.3% to 13.9%. In Ashtottari, a Venus–Moon sub-period lasts 21 × 15 ÷ 108 = 2.92 years, about 2 years and 11 months.
